Banyan trees symbolize letting go
by shedding leaves

During dry seasons, the banyan tree shed leaves to conserve moisture and ensure survival and which initiates the cycle of releasing the old to enable regrowth & rebirth.

Below, we use the symbolism of banyan tree leaves to see what individuals want to leave behind

The intention of sharing what others want to let go is to help us know that we’re all doing the difficult work of shedding narratives that we’re holding onto that’s holding us back.

Feelings of self hate, fear, self-doubt — they are examples of unprocessed emotions. If we bypass our emotions and head straight to regrowth, we would miss what our emotions have to tell us.

When we give voice to our emotions and receive the message that it is trying to tell us, we inevitably make space for new ideas, new solutions, new possibilities, new wisdom, new narratives, and so much more! That is the byproduct of inner repair.
